Museum Pass Issue
Our Museum Pass Service is now available but there are some small issues that we are still working to resolve. Thank you for your patience.
Use your Library card to get free admission to participating Seattle museums. Enjoy exhibits on aviation, nature, science, and industry—all for free! You can reserve one pass to a museum once every 30 days from the date of your visit. New passes are available every day after 12 p.m.
Each Library card holder can reserve one pass every 30 days. There is limited availability, so book as soon as you can. New passes are available every day after 12 p.m.
Use the online reservation system to sort by museum, date and availability. Request an available pass.
Log in with your Library card number and enter your information.
Bring your printed pass and photo ID to the museum on the date selected. You can print for free at Library locations.
Use the online reservation system to search by museum or by date. Each museum pass includes at least two adult tickets, and some passes include four or more tickets.
The following museums participate in the Museum Pass program.
Every museum in our free pass program requires you to bring a printed pass and photo ID. You can view and print your pass when you log in with your Library card number. Please email us if you would like a pass re-sent to you via email. You can print your passes at the Library for free.
Passes are only good on the date you requested. Reservations can be canceled online in the reservation system up until 12 p.m. the day before your reservation date. To cancel your pass, select the 'My Passes' button. Then select the 'cancel' button next to your reserved pass. After canceling, you can request a new pass.
If you need to cancel your pass after 12 p.m. the day before, contact us via Ask Us, call 206-386-4636, or visit any branch location. Cancellations will not be accepted the day of the reservation.
If you receive the result “Library Bar Code not found” when you try to login, you may have entered your number incorrectly or it may not be in our system. This could also mean there is a block or hold on your account.
Email museumpass@spl.org, or contact us via Ask Us and we can help you find a solution.
