The Zine Archive & Publishing Project (ZAPP) Zine Collection includes more than 30,000 zines, minicomics and other self-published and small press titles which were donated to the Library by Richard Hugo House.
From Saturday, October 5th through Saturday, November 16th, the ZAPP Zine Collection will be open weekly from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 pm. on Saturday afternoons, except for Saturday November 2nd. Please join us on Sunday, November 3rd for a special event. No appointments are needed and everyone is welcome to drop in and visit the collection during these weekly hours.
The collection is also open by appointment during the Central Library's open hours. Please give us at least two weeks' notice for your preferred appointment time.
The collection includes more than 30,000 zines and other self-published and small press titles on a wide variety of topics, including music, politics, art, food and literature. Many zines feature voices and perspectives outside of the literary mainstream, including BIPOC authors, queer and trans authors, and youth and young adults.
The ZAPP Zine Collection is for in-Library use only. The collection is open to the public by appointment during the Central Library's open hours. Please give us at least two weeks' notice for your preferred appointment time.
