DESCRIPTION:
The Seattle Public Library is seeking proposals for a mobile app to increase access to the Library system, enhance the online patron experience and attract new audiences.
The Library is committed to removing barriers to accessing Library programs and services, particularly those barriers that result from racial, social or economic oppression. In pursuit of this goal, our priority is to engage with, listen to, and address the unmet needs of people of all ages who have been historically marginalized on the basis of race or who remain subject to racial, social or economic injustice. The proposed app must be accessible to and usable by people with disabilities and communities most impacted by the digital divide (including communities of color, seniors, low-income communities, and limited proficiency or non-English speaking communities) so that the app does not increase barriers to library services for those individuals or communities.

DESCRIPTION:
The Seattle Public Library, founded in 1891, includes the world-renowned Central Library and 26 branches. The 362,987 square foot Central Library opened in May 2004, and has won several design and architectural awards.
The Central Library building features spacious areas for children, teens, and adults, computers, reorganized/expanded collections, an auditorium for Library programs and community meetings and an underground parking garage.
The Seattle Public Library is currently seeking a Coffee vendor who can provide beverage services and such to both our employees and patrons.
