Three years after an onstage romp in Athens and beyond, ASL Midsummer Night’s Dream returns for on-demand digital streaming. The play that enchanted audiences returns to our digital stage as part of our 2021 season. Co-director Howie Seago brought his vision and vast expertise to create a vividly striking version of Shakespeare’s comedy classic alongside co-director and Sound Theatre founder Teresa Thuman. This production garnered the 2018 TPS Gregory People’s Choice Award for Outstanding Production of a Play. Access: This bilingual production is presented completely in American Sign Language and spoken English. Closed Captions and Audio Description will also be available. The original production was produced in partnership with Deaf Spotlight and the Hearing, Speech, and Deaf Center.
