We provide accommodations by request for patrons with disabilities, including ADA accommodations for access to library buildings and services for library programs and events such as ASL interpretation, assistive listening devices and other accommodations.
Use this form to request ADA Accommodation. We will respond to ADA accommodation requests within 15 days. Please request event accommodations at least 7 days in advance. You may also request printed versions of the form in accessible formats by contacting LEAP or your nearest Library location.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) does not require The Seattle Public Library to take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or services, or impose an undue financial or administrative burden.
We will respond to your request as soon as we can, but no later than 15 days after we receive it. Please note that certification by a health care provider may be required. If you are not satisfied with the response to your request, you may appeal to the Director of Administrative Services at 1000 Fourth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104, within 15 days of receiving the response.
