Power Wheelchair Charging Station
Use the Power Wheelchair Charging Station at Central Library on level 3, near the purple carpet area. The charging station is specifically for charging power mobility devices, such as power wheelchairs and scooters.
About the Charging Station
- The charging station uses a 24-volt, five-amp universal charger, which is suitable for the majority of mobility devices.
- Designed to safely charge without overheating or damage.
- Provides short, boost-style charges to extend the device’s functionality during a library visit.
- Top-up charges are safe for occasional use, frequent reliance on short charges without an overnight charge may reduce battery lifespan. While the charging station may indicate a full charge after a boost, it does not replace a complete overnight charge.
- Patrons needing to charge phones, tablets, laptops, or other devices should use the charging stations or outlets provided elsewhere in the library.
